Top 5 Communication Apps Performance in Egypt, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the top communication apps in Egypt showed varied performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps have experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

WhatsApp Messenger saw its weekly downloads peak at around 249K in late April, with numbers generally hovering between 180K and 230K throughout the quarter. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around 78M.

Truecaller: Spam Call Blocker experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $8.6K in mid-June. Downloads showed a decline from 253K to 168K over the quarter, while active users saw a gradual decrease from 49.7M to 48.3M.

Snapchat maintained a consistent revenue stream, with a slight increase to $6.2K by the end of June. Downloads started strong at 252K but dipped to around 163K by quarter’s end. Active users showed minor fluctuations, ending at approximately 17.6M.

WhatsApp Business showed a modest increase in weekly revenue, reaching around $3.9K in late June. Downloads decreased from 239K to 157K, while active users remained stable around 19.7M.

Telegram experienced a rise in weekly revenue, peaking at $5.8K in June. Downloads varied, starting at 174K and ending at 149K. Active users showed a slight decline from 41.2M to 40M.
